The second workshop was held at the Szarvas DeepDemo site of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) in Hungary, bringing together more than 20 participants to discuss new business and operational models for water management in agriculture.

The workshop was led by Alexander Märdian and Vera Netz from the DIL Innovation Hub, with the participation of farmers, researchers and other stakeholders involved in the project activities.

Discussions focused on developing innovative approaches for irrigation, water retention and soil improvement, which will be further tested and validated over the coming years in close collaboration with local partners and farming communities.

These activities form part of the broader objectives of ClimaPannonia project, which explores solutions related to agroforestry, water management and crop and livestock production across the Pannonian region, aiming to support farmers and rural communities in adapting to changing climate conditions.

The Szarvas DeepDemo provides an important research and demonstration environment, combining academic research with practical training and long-standing cooperation with local farmers.
