Earlier this year, the MAPER Conference and Professional Day brought together more than 300 participants to explore agroecology, regenerative land-use practices and innovative approaches to landscape management.
The conference placed a strong emphasis on agroforestry as one of its central thematic pillars, examining its role within broader agroecological strategies. The programme attracted a diverse audience of stakeholders, including researchers, farmers, designers, educators and decision-makers, creating a valuable platform for cross-sectoral exchange.
Within this professional setting, ClimaPannonia was presented as part of the official programme during a dedicated session led by the University of Sopron. The session introduced the project’s objectives and overall approach, with particular attention given to the DeepDemo raspberry model experiment in Fertőd (Hungary) and the environmental and production parameters being monitored.
The conference concluded with an interactive discussion highlighting the importance of dialogue between science and practice, as well as the growing interest in practical and scalable agroecological solutions.
