In June, Vesna Nešković from the Association of Balkan Eco-Innovation (ABE) attended a hybrid partner meeting hosted by the Hungarian Innovation Agency (NIU) in Budapest. The meeting brought together partners from across Central and Eastern Europe.

During the meeting, Vesna presented our project, highlighting its role as one of the Innovation Action projects addressing regional challenges related to climate resilience in agriculture across the Pannonian region.

The discussions also explored opportunities for further collaboration within the Horizon Europe framework, including initiatives linked to the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”, and the Soil Mission. Particular attention was given to the importance of biogeographical regions such as the Pannonian basin and the Danube region in shaping future research and innovation activities.

Participants also discussed potential joint participation in upcoming WIDERA calls, opening new opportunities for cross-border cooperation and knowledge exchange.

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of regional partnerships in addressing climate challenges and strengthening cooperation between research institutions, innovation agencies and project partners across Europe.
