Climateurope2 Festival

The second Climateurope2 Festival, held in Belgrade (Serbia), brought together researchers, experts and stakeholders from across Europe to exchange knowledge and explore the future of climate services.

Hosted by the Center for the Promotion of Science, the festival featured a diverse programme including plenary sessions, interactive workshops, artistic exhibitions and networking activities aimed at strengthening the role of climate services in supporting society and climate adaptation efforts.

ClimaPannonia project was represented by its coordinator, Velimir Mladenov, who participated in the World Café session titled “Cultivate & Cure I”:

The discussion explored how climate services can support both the agricultural sector and public health, highlighting the growing importance of reliable climate information for decision-making.

The interactive session brought together several experts, including Hasse Goosen, Adéola Jaiyeola, Marta Terrado, Suraje Dessai and Marino Spilotros, who shared perspectives on connecting local solutions with broader systemic approaches and scaling climate information across regions.

Within this context, our project presented its work on building climate resilience through the large-scale uptake of systemic solutions in agricultural ecosystems across the Pannonian region.

Participation in the Climateurope2 Festival provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, connect with European stakeholders and strengthen collaboration in addressing climate challenges across regions.
