ClimaPannonia Workshop in Fertőd

The first ClimaPannonia workshop was held in Fertőd (Hungary), bringing together more than 25 participants to discuss new and adapted business models for agroforestry-based berry farming.

The workshop was led by Alexander Märdian and Vera Netz from the DIL Innovation Hub, in cooperation with partners including Deloitte, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture and the University of Sopron and MAPER-HPA.

As one of Europe’s major berry-producing areas, the Pannonian region is increasingly facing challenges related to climate change and rising labour costs. The workshop therefore focused on exploring innovative and climate-resilient business models that could help farmers adapt to these changing conditions.

The discussions also contributed to the broader objectives of ClimaPannonia project, which aims to strengthen climate resilience in agriculture and rural communities through systemic and climate-neutral solutions.
