The first workshop dedicated to the Organic Crop Production DeepDemo was hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture – University of Novi Sad, focusing on how farmers can be supported not only as producers, but also as entrepreneurs capable of developing resilient and viable business models.

The workshop explored approaches that connect organic crop production, soil improvement and climate resilience, all highly relevant topics for farmers operating in the Pannonian region.

During the workshop, participants were introduced to practical tools such as the Business Model Canvas, which helps structure ideas and develop new approaches for sustainable and economically viable farming.

The event also highlighted the strong collaboration among project partners. Experts from Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik e.V. (DIL) contributed their experience in innovation processes and business model development, while Deloitte shared insights into European financing models. The UFaculty of Agriculture – University of Zagreb supported the coordination of activities.

With Svetlana Vujić representing the Organic Crop Production DeepDemo, discussions focused on how organic production practices, soil improvement and climate resilience can be translated into viable business approaches for farmers in the region.

The workshop confirmed that strengthening organic crop production in the Pannonian region requires not only technical knowledge, but also well-structured business models capable of supporting long-term farm viability.
