The Methane Connect Summit 2025 was held in Paris (France), bringing together key actors working on the future of climate-smart livestock systems. The event gathered representatives from agriculture, innovation and the dairy sector to discuss solutions for reducing methane emissions while strengthening the resilience of farming systems.
Our dear colleague Saša Krstović participated in the summit discussions and presented ClimaPannonia’s approach to strengthening climate resilience in agricultural systems across the Pannonian region.
During the event, Saša also moderated a panel discussion titled “From farm to milk: Methane reduction in a broader sustainability lens.” The discussion explored how methane mitigation connects with other critical aspects of agricultural sustainability, including soil health, animal welfare, farm economics and the stability of food supply chains.
For ClimaPannonia project, participation in the Methane Connect Summit 2025 opened a valuable opportunity to connect regional perspectives with wider international efforts aimed at reducing agricultural emissions and advancing climate-smart farming practices.
The event also provided space for exchanging ideas and experiences with initiatives working on similar challenges, highlighting the importance of cooperation in developing practical solutions for the future of livestock production.
