The second Regional Conference 2025, dedicated to the theme “Ready for climate challenges: The perspective of regenerative agriculture”, was held in Novi Sad (Serbia). The event was hosted by the Donau Soja Organisation within the EIT Food regenerative agriculture programme.
The conference focused on the growing pressures climate change places on agricultural systems and the need to strengthen resilience through regenerative farming practices and adaptive management approaches.
Among the presentations highlighted during the event were contributions by Ana Vuković Vimić from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, and Danijel Jug from the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek. Their presentations addressed the transition from climate risk toward resilience, as well as the responses of agricultural production systems to ongoing climate change.
The exchange of perspectives during the conference underlined the urgency of developing farming systems that are better prepared for future climate challenges.
